Asset Manager – User Training Guide
This document explains how administrators use the Asset Manager in the CMS to manage media assets such as images.
Purpose of the Asset Manager
The Asset Manager is used to:
- View all uploaded media assets
- Upload new images
- Preview assets in a gallery view
- Reuse assets across CMS pages and components
Assets uploaded here can be used throughout the CMS, including pages, banners, and other content blocks.
How to Access the Asset Manager
- Navigate to Admin → CMS → Assets (or the relevant CMS Assets menu)
- The Asset Manager loads automatically and displays all available assets
Page Overview
The Asset Manager consists of:
- Asset Filters – Filter assets by type
- Asset Grid / List – Displays uploaded assets
- Upload Image Modal – Upload new assets
- Gallery Preview – Full-screen asset preview
Asset Filters
Located at the top of the Asset Manager, filters help narrow down visible assets.
Available filters:
- All Assets – Shows every uploaded asset
- Images – Shows only image files
Click a filter to instantly update the asset list.
Viewing Assets
- Assets are displayed in a grid-style layout
- Each asset shows a preview thumbnail
- Click an asset to open it in the gallery preview
Asset Gallery Preview
When an asset is clicked:
- A full-screen gallery (Galleria) opens
- You can browse through assets using navigation controls
- Responsive behaviour adjusts the number of visible thumbnails based on screen size
Responsive Behaviour
The gallery adapts automatically:
- Desktop: More thumbnails visible
- Tablet: Reduced thumbnails
- Mobile: Single thumbnail view
Uploading a New Image
Open Upload Modal
- Click the Upload Image button (or equivalent action)
- The upload modal opens
Select an Image
- Choose an image file from your device
- The selected file is prepared for upload
Upload
- Confirm the upload action
- The image is uploaded and added to the asset list
Uploaded images are immediately available for use across the CMS.
Supported Asset Types
Currently supported:
- Image files (e.g. JPG, PNG, WEBP)
Additional asset types may be supported in future updates.
Loading State
- While assets are loading, the system fetches data automatically
- No action is required from the user
Best Practices
- Use clear and descriptive image names before uploading
- Optimize images for web use to reduce file size
- Avoid uploading duplicate images
- Reuse existing assets where possible
Common Use Cases
- Uploading banner images for CMS pages
- Managing images used in page content
- Previewing existing assets before reuse
